The Sydney rail network is experiencing further delays after a life-threatening situation involving fallen cables between Strathfield and Homebush caused a widespread system breakdown. Sydney Trains have confirmed the overhead wiring which became entangled with a train pantograph in a crucial artery of the train network has been repaired but not all trains are back online.
