The New York Times reports the Republican figure sent the information of a military strike using the unclassified messaging system Signal.
He is facing criticism after allegedly sharing similar information on a separate Signal chat, which featured a journalist.
NPR is reporting the White House is in the process of replacing the Secretary of Defense.
