    Wordsmith and Broadcaster Kel Richards discusses the origin of the word “Liberal”.

    Mr Richards told Sky News host Peta Credlin that the word Liberal “goes back to about 1384”.

    “It comes from a classical Latin word, liberalis, meaning freedom.”
