Today marks World Press Freedom Day in a time of rapid growth, and the role of AI and innovation- also continues to impact the journalist and media landscape at large.
This day follows Freedom Day in SA, observed on 27 April where amongst other democratic rights, press freedom was a hard fought for right that remains pivotal, over 30 years into our democracy and since it was declared by the UNGA.
