Wrong-way driver causes multi-car crash in MieーNHK WORLD-JAPAN NEWS #shorts
Police in central Japan say a car drove about 10 kilometers in the wrong direction on the Shin-Meishin Expressway in Mie Prefecture on Sunday, causing a series of crashes. The vehicle hit two cars around 11 a.m. and triggered further collisions as other drivers swerved to avoid it. Four women in their 40s to 60s were injured.
On Monday, police arrested a 34-year-old Peruvian man living in neighboring Shiga Prefecture on suspicion of fleeing the scene of an accident.
